Lightscribe woes

I bought the HP drive friday and installed it. Everything works great on it. I put in the CDR it came with and used the Lightscribe to make a label. Worked great. I bought some Verbatim CD-Rs and they will not work with it. I burned the cd fine, but the Lightscribe didn't work on it. I updated the LIghtscribe System Software from lightscribe.com but it didn't work Any suggestions?

I dont own a Lightscribe drive, but dont you have to buy special Lightscribe discs?

Yes I have them. The Verbatim CDRs will not work but the Verbatim DVDRs will

You wouldn't be able to post a pic of the disc that worked? I'm sure I can google for images...humor me, though Had I ordered my HP L2000 laptop from the net it would have come with a lightscribe drive...wouldn't mind seeing what I'm missing out on, now.
