WOW, looks impressive.

But no face recognition, :)? lol

Thanks for the links, I'm definitely going to check them out.

Yeah, some nice touches. I like how I can actually use the "library" in developer mode now. I still am not a fan of all these modules, but Aperture is Mac Only, and well, I find LR to be faster and aside from the modules, like the workspace better.

Import saves are nice since I import from a few different cameras and usually have different settings.

Not bad. I want more adjustment brush settings though! Like instead of just saturate/desaturate I want to be able to select individual color channels in adjustment brush mode. Basically all of the global adjustments should be duplicated for an adjustment brush.

I was really hoping that geotagging via GPS EXIF coordinates would make its way into LR. I don't know if betas are feature-complete, but if they are then bummer.

it's doable via plugins right now, not as streamlined: http://regex.info/blog/2008-10-29/979

He's got some good export plug ins, and I have a feeling the flickr integration they showed off in the video uses his work. *edit* maybe not, hadn't read his blog about it.

that adds data from an external GPS. I'm talking about connecting a GPS to my camera, and then being able to view those coordinates on Google Maps or something directly from Lightroom. as it stands now I can't see where all the photos in a collection were taken in one view on any map, and I'm not aware of any plug-ins that would let me do that (please correct me otherwise, I'd be very interested).

looking at the features now, I see no reason to upgrade from LR2+PS4.

ah, i thought you were just talking about just getting the coordinates in. I still need to find a phone app that will log for me so I don't have to buy another device, heh.

That indeed would be neat though, integration w/ google maps or something w/o having to upload to say flickr or smugmug.

The biggest features I see for me is all the library features that have made their way into the develop module. Otherwise, yeah, still too early to really tell if anything else would be truly useful.
