LightRadio: The tiny cube that could save wireless

That's pretty cool. Especially the last part about stadiums. I know despite seeing full service at a stadium, I can almost never actually get a connection - being able to stack lots of these little guys in a small place would have a huge benefit. Downtown in cities, too.

All this does is will help boost carriers profits. They will reduce overhead and increase cpacity, but continue to charge high prices because we the dumb consumer keep paying it.

Um... the problem isn't tower capacity, it's backhaul. How does this thing solve THAT problem?

Sounds like another cure for cancer story that crops up every other month. Maybe this is one that will actually pan out, but the vast majority of the time it doesn't, for some unforeseen reason, or even one that was know about but not publicized.

If there's one thing to like about Apple as a company it's that they don't sit around talking about how great things are going to be in two years. When they have something amazing to tell you, it's usually about something that will be shipping in the next few weeks or months.

Any other behavior just feels like pandering to investors.

Perhaps, but with these they might not increase prices as fast as if they didn't have them.

Also, hopefully further technological advancements could lead to improved service. They'll never let you pay less, but maybe you can get more for your money.
