Lightning 7970 Crossfire Crashing/Freezing

Try the error scan on OCCT. If it errors at all within an hour it usually means its got bad vram - which often is the issue when running sli/xfire from my experience and will cause crashes, desktop artifacts, and system freezes.

And yet the release drivers appear to have stabilise the setup?..Maybe the drivers do something to the power draw?

Powersupply is my guess. Rosewill is ok but 1000w from an ok provider might not be what it claims to be. I have many Rosewill products by the way. Try a higher quality psu...you spent all that money on high end vid cards

Guys, he said reverting to release drivers fixed it. It's not a hardware problem.
