Lightest / Best anti-virus protection suite for XP Pro?

Norton seems to work fine. I doubt that it's the lightest AV suite, but it's still good. If you have a newer computer, your AV software won't bog anything down.
 
Yeah I just built a 2.8c w/ 512 MB of RAM, so nothing should really bog it down but still.... always looking to keep it light if possible.
 
i agree that norton is not the lightest software by far, but it does seem to protect my pcs best.. and with basically daily auto-updates (yeah i know a lot of competators offer that too) you can set it and forget it... 5+ years using norton (whatever version is newest of course) and never had a virus...
 
Seems to be the case with most current AV software, too bloated and/or expires from updating.
