Let's say I've got a lot money to spend on a set of wheels. Let's say I wanted to get the lightest possible 19" wheels out there. Any recommendations?

Dymags would be the lightest, but they went out of business recently, so they're hard to get. They use a carbon fiber hoop, and magnesium composite spokes. The 19" go down to about 14 lbs depending on configuration, though most are in the 16-18 lb range.

I don't think Gram Lights go up to 19".

Anyway go to tirerack and put in your car and search for it since we obviously have no idea what car you have.

14lbs for a 19 inch wheel is crazy light.

Plus, TireRack is not exactly exotic-light-weight-wheel-central.com.

Yep. I'm looking at Enkei RPF1's for my MR2..IIRC they're a touch over 16lb for a 17x9.

Gram lights are light for being cast... but rays forged are usually lighter

TE37 is kinda touted as a benchmark for most companies to compare to but there are some that do better than te37 now especially at larger widths

Not sure what the latest and greatest is, but CCW wheels are pretty light and will work with you for custom offsets. I've seen a 19x10 from them weigh under 23lbs. That's pretty damn light for a 10" wide, 19" rim.

Anyone have weights for the Gram Lights? Kinda funny that their whole gimmick is light-weight but I couldn't find anything on weights with a google search.

Advan RS wheels are light and make any car look awesome. (Probably not the lightest though.)

indeed they are... i forget what TE37's are in 19's but i would say about 20lbs.

My Ray's are 18x8.5 and they are 18.6lbs or so. Would imagine the ratio be closer to a pound per inch. Most stock wheels are 24lbs + in 16-17inches.

Um then I would definitely sell them and get the Advans, especially if you think they look better.

Thats silly, you must have really tried hard to NOT look

Database with tons of wheels:

Like I said Gram Lights are decently light for CAST wheels, more so used as the "affordable" Rays

Yeah, no joke. Not only that, but they're INCREDIBLY strong. You can hit berms in them hard enough to dent normal T6061 forged aluminum barrels and they're fine.

I'd absolutely HATE HATE HATE to have the wife curb one though. I would weep hot salty tears.

Who lets their wives drive? Nice cars and nice things - keep away from wives. They can have the minivan.
