Lighted Keyboard

Looking around to buy a lighted keyboard for my desktop pc.
I prefer a usb corded unit.
I have a lighted keyboard on my laptop and I have gotten so used to it I want one for the desktop. Also, there are times when I will be using the desktop in low light situations. Ex. grandkids staying over and don't want to turn lights on while they are sleeping, etc.
Any suggestions?
 
Yep...if you're not a big time gamer then the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard is one of the best illuminated keyboards you can buy. The keys are not only illuminated but also similar to laptop keys so they are very quiet and take very little pressure to press.

I have had one for quite a while and would highly recommend it to someone looking for a quiet, illuminated keyboard.

Now if you're a gamer, you may want to steer clear as it does have keyblocking issues.
 
Echo the Logitech KB. It is wired (USB) and has 3 levels of illumination. It is compact, and very quiet. I have two of them and they have served perfectly for about 2 years.

Actually corky...the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard (model Y-UY95) DOES have legs.

I use it flat but it does have legs for those who want to use them.
 
Sorry but, I turned both of mine over and could not find any legs. So, thanks for the correction . . . it truly is a great little keyboard. I especially like the Fn keys.
 
This is the K740 but the bottom is exactly the same as the original Illuminated Keyboard. You can see the two flip out legs at the bottom left and right of the image.

Yea! I found the little suckers! They are artfully concealed by laterally folding into the edge. Here's a closeup:

I like my keyboards to be cordless, so the Logitech K800 is the one for me.
I connect the USB cable about every two to three weeks to recharge the battery.
 
So have I, but with the capital "I," it seems to me that he is referring to the Logitech boards discussed above. And, with that interpretation, I have to agree.

Well, we can confidently assume that he's talking specifically about the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard that he first mentioned and that we have all been talking about in this thread not just illuminated/backlit keyboards in general.

So on that point...yes we do agree...the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard is a great keyboard.

Logitech illuminated keyboard is good but just beware that you can't really use it for gaming. There's an issue with holding shift and pressing a button which is "run" in most fps games. And I don't think they ever fixed that issue.

And actually you are wrong...you can most definitely hold SHIFT and push another key. If you couldn't then you wouldn't be able to capitalize letters using the keyboard without activating CAPS LOCK. And holding SHIFT and another key works in games as well...just as one quick example...playing South Park : Stick of Truth recently and in order to run you have to hold W, A, S or D along with SHIFT...and guess what...works like a charm.

What you can't do is W + SHIFT + SPACE...which makes running and jumping in some games impossible.

Please try not to spread incorrect info in the future...especially when giving advice on something someone may want to purchase.

Yeah...it's a minor issue for me. I play games but I'm not hardcore or anything so this keyboard is one of the best IMO.

Thanks for the replies. We had 2 family emergencies here the past 2 days and things have finally settled down!!!
I am not a gamer. I take that back. I play spider solitaire!!! LOLOL, I just do basic stuff. I'll shop around on Amazon to find a good price and get one there.
