Lighted Keyboard 18.95

I would buy one of these if they would ever set it up as a standard keyboard and not the notebook style keyboard (I know they set it up this way to save money, but its really annoying).
yeah most of these illuminated keyboards have small space bars too like a notebook keyboard setup. they need to make a standard fullsize one.
Does anyone make one of these illuminated things in the 'Natural' aka 'split' aka 'ergonomic' format?
This KB suits the limited space on my desk.
My monitor takes up more than half of my desktop.
Those of you who need a reduced size keyboard but dislike the layout of laptop KB's may like an IBM KB I've found.
Mine is a multimedia KB with extra keys at the top, CD controls on the top, right corner and two USB ports.
OM clearanced these KB's. I got one for $16 and another for $20.
OM and Staples still cary a lesser version without the extra keys, CD controls and USB ports for, I think, $20.
The keypad and the number pad are standard layouts.
They reduce the left to right dimension by limiting the Insert, Delete, Page Up and Page Down keys between the key pad and number pad to a single column rather than the traditional three columns of keys.
The arrow keys and Falward/Backward email keys are three across between the <Ctrl> that is below the <Enter> and the zero of the number pad.

I Googled for a few reviews of these lighted keyboards, I like the way they look. But, the reviews didn't really touch on how the typing on them felt in compairson to a regular keyboard. I only read 2 reviews but I'm lazy.
anyone who's used one, do they measure up to a nice Logitech? I have the Logitech Elite now, I like it but am looking for a change.

Ok look, my wife is a "sight typist" who frequently surfs, emails, etc at low light. She would love this. However, Computer Geeks ratings are not exactly the best. Anyone know of a more reliable source for this? For her this would be a gift from heaven. I just don't want it to be the deal from hell.
The blue one is very light blue.
The purple one appears to be a dark blue rather than purple.

I agree, CompGeeks is a good place to order from. However, if you don't know how to get a keyboard working on your own, they, understandably, may not be willing to help you if you call them up. I've ordered from them quite a few times and will continue to order from them if they have something cheap I want.
Uhhmmm, Jaxidian, I hope I misunderstood your comment as it sounded like you didn't think I knew how to "get a keyboard working on your own" (your words, not mine). I've probably built more systems than you can count. A simple keyboard install is not at question here. I questioned CompuGeeks credentials (dealing with their reliability) for good reason; look at their ratings! Despite some that have had success (maybe even you), there are at least an equal number (again based on the actual ratings) that would respectively disagree! Again, if I took your post in the wrong context, I apologize. Please don't take mine wrong either, as I stand by what I said.
Me too, but when I'm playing Wolfenstein: ET late at night and the lights are out, headphones are on--my girlfriend is a light sleeper--I sometimes hit the wrong numbers for voice chat. Your hands aren't exactly on the home row, as they used to call it. Otherwise I don't need to see what I'm doing.
For a brief glaring second there I thought my prayers had been answered, but those thing don't have the numbers off to one side. No 'Page up' or down or 'end' key. The arrows being in a jacked up place is no big deal, but no number pad. No way.
why can't they make a full ergonomic keyboard like a logitech wireless with lighted keys? if only...:brokenheart:
Maybe I'm confused but what part of the number pad being off to the right side don't you see?!? Perhaps there is a problem with the "page up or down" key not being where you want it but in most laptops, there isn't even a separated number keypad. I don't "see" your complaint here but feel free to enlighten me. Please!
EDIT: In looking over the previous posts, could you perhaps be referring to the post by vinnyracer? That one, although I like the fact that it is a split keyboard design, does NOT seem to have a separate number pad design. In hindsite, if that was what you were referring to, I agree and apologize for taking you to task for your complaint.
Considering I had quoted Vinnyracer, that does appear likely. I had posted to begin with looking for a split keyboard...Just as a follow up, I went ahead and ordered this from Tiger direct. We got the keyboard in good time although their packing job was one of the worst I have seen. Luckily the thing still worked just fine and the wife is delirious with joy over it! She can't say enough. It took her a little bit to get used to the close proximity of the backspace and home keys but no big deal. She just absolutely loves it! Thanks Jokersmoker!
