Light haired cats

ohtwell

Why are they drawn to dark clothing? When ever I have on a shirt or pants that are a dark color, my cat nuzzles against me more than she does when I have on lighter clothing. Cats are odd. 😀

Double the fun, one light cat, one dark cat, dark trousers and a light shirt woohoo cat hair everywhere!

My white cat loves to sleep on a white towel.

Then she jumps on my dark blue sweats and tries to help me look just like her.

Most cats are, inherently, evil, lazy creatures. They spend most of their time doing absolutely nothing of use and expecting to be fed and picked up after. When they get especially bored (which seems impossible given their propensity to do nothing of note for hours) they will do things which they find bother people, like get hair on things they shouldn't, fighting with siblings/parents/etc.., or scratching things.

I say "most cats" because there are a few that are actaully attentive and seem to give a sh1t that someone is providing them with food and shelter. These cats will actually acknowledge you when you come home, etc. They behave like dogs. Therefore, you should have purchased a dog in the first place because at least a dog can go running with you or defend you if an attacker should come at you.

I agree with you and would go so far as to say that I believe most cats actually hate people. The only reason they put up with humans is b/c we feed them, give them shelter, etc. And in turn the pretend to like us once in a while. I would not be a bit upset if all domestic house cats were killed and the species known as "pet cat" was extinct.

Most cats I've known have had a favorite color. Their eyes can just barely see colors (they are better with the black and white to enhance dark vision). But for some reason, most like to latch on to one color and do things with it.

For example, I have one cat and I can buy a bag of identical bows for Christmas gifts (identical in every way except for color). That cat will pull of all the green bows and pull them over to a green pillow to play with (he leaves the other pillows alone).

I just think that your cat must like a specific dark color. Maybe with his/her near color blindness he/she might confuse some of the similar dark colors.

5 cats, one black, one tortiseshell, three orange tabbies, one insane wife who cannot get any hair off of her work clothes.

Peace
