Light-gun for LCD?

Seeking one for current-gen systems wouldn't matter this much. But am looking for something for last-gen, older & possibly PC.
From what I've picked up is that with whole change in technology, is that sensor bars are used for this now days.
Seems there's a few made to use on a variety of systems, but am not seeing much of a consistency on any widely recommended peripherals.

don't bother, the input lag is horrid. Get a ps3 and the real guncon.🙁

Not really in position to pick up a PS3 atm, but do want one.

I do have access to a tube, although on rare occasions. So could still go route of old school light-gun. Just, yea.
