light lagers are some of the nastiest drinks on earth... which is why i like the most watery, least offensive one: bud light.

IPA's (Dogfishhead, Stone, Clipper City, Harpoon, etc) for me

Holy sh!t. I thought there'd be a bunch of annoying snob posts but there isn't. Amazing.

Busch Light for me.
Name a snobby light beer. I don't think there is such a thing.

If you're talking low calorie then give me a Guinness drought. If you're talking about light colored and light bodied, I'll take a Hoegaarden or Erdinger.

The last "light" beer I bought was Rolling Rock because I needed beer in cans. That was last summer. If I want water, I'll just drink water.

Samuel Adams Light, no contest. I buy it even though I really have no need/desire to drink light beer, it's just that good.

Sam Adams Light.

Coors light is what I piss when I drink Sam Adams Light.

As far as light beers are concerned, Sam Adams Light FTW!

Heineken Light and Amstel Light are decent alternatives. Corona Light doesn't actually stray too far from the original either.

Next time you're thinking of buying light beer, just get water instead; it'll taste the same and cost less

I agree with you however if you're looking to get wasted it goes down easier. I think that's the main goal of light beer - I don't think many people buy it for the calories anymore. When I want taste I just pick up a case of Pilsner Urquell.

Friends don't let friends drink light beer. I remembered that the other day after an acquaintance gave me a Meystone Light.

Naw I was more referring to people quoting someone's Miller Lite or Bud Light and saying "oh that isn't even beer" or other such thing. Happens in every Favorite Beer thread.

I like Miller Light, Bud Light, Coors Light, Mich Light, and Green Light. 😀

I don't discriminate. I usually order what's cheaper. Bud light is one of my least favorite on the list, but I tend to order it when it's the only one on the list that's draught. 😉

Miller Light. Bud Light is too sweet. I'll take Bud Select or Mich Ultra in a pinch.

No, I'm not a beer snob. Obviously.

I drink all kinds of beer - love the microbreweries, love a great Hef, but if I'm out on a Fri/Sat night just drinking, it's gotta be Bud Light. Can't pound Hefs/Guiness like you can a Lite beer though.

miller, bud, busch, anything really... by the way that is I like them.... picnics and such... bud being prob my favorite.

If you are looking for a suggestion for a party go with Coors ...

The most popular light beers are bud light and miller lite. If you're throwing a party stock both of those and you will please 90% of the people.

Lately it's been Bud Select. It's fairly smooth for a light/cheap beer. But I don't descriminate. Bud Light. Miller light. MGD Light. High Life light. Even Busch light 🙂

When it's hot out, and you are working in the garage or in the yard, you don't want a stout or a dark ale. I just want something that is easy to drink. Light beers fit the bill.

Besides, they make you appreciate the higher quality brews when you do drink them.

When I drink a light beer I tend not to care which brand it is. Miller or Bud are both fine by me. If I'm not drinking a light beer I'll go for something with a bit more flavor.

You mean "Bitte ein Bit."

Sam Adams Light, Corona Light, or Amstel Light for me.

I'm also partial to my friend's "Beck's Brew," named after his dog.

It's a light American ale but with 10% alcohol.
