Hence, the term eventually branched out in to other forums and became a popular term among forum goers. Lifers are usually a harmless bunch, not as vicious as trolls. All they care about is the postcount..

A person whose sole purpose in life is to maximize their post count. They often will be "two-faced" in that they will be nice to your face and then backstab you to others in order to advance their friendly relationship with their mods. Lifers will often get upset over trivial things that are forum related and rarely have good things to say about posters who do not plan on becoming lifers
