LifeBook S6230 vs HP dv1000

I'm getting one of these two notebooks. I'm a student, just posted previously.

"So everything was perfect, I was all set to go to the store to buy a PowerMac, then I choked. Didn't like them anymore, too expensive for me. So I'm going back to Windows. I'm a student who is looking for something lightweight, under 5.5 lbs. I've never had a laptop, so I don't know how easily some of them break down, but i'd like it to be durable with a high build quality. I want long battery life, at least 4 hours with regular usage. So that probably means Centrino with Pentium M processor, right? So obviously I want wireless. Something small so I can fit it on top of a desk to type notes on. I'd like to use this with photoshop some, but mostly word docs and internet. I'm looking for anything under $1500."

HP would be cheaper since I'm customizing it with 80gb 5400RPM HD, Dothan 1.8, DVD-Burner, 256RAM
The LifeBook has 256RAM, 40gb 4200 HD, Dothan 1.6, CDRW/DVD

the fujitsu is much higher quality then the HP. not only that, it has a FAR superior screen.

i recommend you go to any store like best buy or circuit city and look at the HP. i personally think the screen is horrible for anything and when i was testing out a dvd "fight club" the picture was awful.

If you need to save money, you could get a gateway for even less then the HP, but you get what you pay for...
