Actually I just realized a much better one.

Education is very important but not because of the degree (although that is a necessary part of it), but because of what the process of the degree allows you to do--get involved in student groups, internships, study abroad, etc. People worry about majors but that really doesn't mean anything unless you have a specific desire to be a biologist or something. College seems to me to have been one big test tube, a mini world in which employers get to analyze your performance afterwards. I failed miserably and as I go to graduate school I am going to be taking advantage of these opportunities once again by volunteering/interning until class starts in the Fall and getting involved once I've started a program.
