Life in prison or Execution?

I'm still writing that paper on voluntary execution when a criminal has a life sentence. What would you guys prefer, assuming there was 0 chance of breaking out?

edit=

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. This isn't some goody goody prison. This is death row. You will probably just spend the rest of your life in confinement. Compare that with execution.

Execution.
Firing squad would be preferred.

Its one of the reasons they have so much violence in prison.
If your there for life, and thats all you got to look forward to, you don't give a damn about rules.

I just looked up what states still allow firing squads, and two do, oklahoma and idaho.
Also showed execution by state, all states below 100, except texas, 400+.
Texas looks to be a bad state to live in if you kill someone.

Depends where in prison. If it were solitary confinement/death row, then yeah, execution. General population on the other hand...

It depends on what kind of programs are offered in the prison. If I can eventually qualify for work release or parole, then I'd just try to tough it out.

Prison. I could write, lift weights, maybe they have educational programs too.

unless you are in solitary confinement or on death row. I don't think you get much time out of your cell on death row.

I wouldn't be on death row if I didn't choose execution now would I? 😛

If I'm in for life I'd probably want to live so I could do more drugs and kill more people while I'm there. I mean this is like asking an Alter Boy how he'd rape someone...he wouldn't and if he would he'd probably show you instead.

From what I have seen on lockup on msnbc, they get 1 hour per day outside, thats it .
I guess its to keep people from going completely nuts.

Better than 24 hours in a coffin every day

Let's see, 10 years (or more) of limited access (versus general population) before they send you off to la-la land, VERSUS a lifetime of "don't drop the soap"???

Yeah, give me death penalty, any time.

Run. I vowed if I ever had to serve more than a 4 year prison term I'd flee the country ...not that I plan on it but I just always had this discussion with my friends.
