A black guy in South Carolina with 2 drug convictions? Selling crack is pretty much his only career option. Given the sky high unemployment in the nation, which is even higher in south carolina, there is no fucking way he would have found a legit job.

Please tell me, how is society better off by ending his free life and putting him on the state dime for $22k a year? If you think that this will do anything to the supply of crack in his area, or serve as a deterrent to other potential crack dealers, then you are seriously out of touch with reality.
