Win win for what? 400 billion dollar deficits? I wonder when our credit runs out? We don't produce anything but debt.

If a man makes $50,000 he can probably manage $5,000 in debt. If the man now makes $100,000 he can probably handle $10,000 in debt. 400 billion is manageable if GDP is growing.
Lieberman said he would soon send a letter to leaders of the entertainment industry reiterating a challenge recently set forth by him and Gore that they adopt a voluntary system to stop marketing inappropriate movies, music and video games to youngsters and abide by their own warning labels. He said his letter would warn of government action if the industry doesn't produce voluntary standards.

It has nothing to do with his skin color or religion.

Can Lieberman carry the South though? You know how the South can be regarding NorEasterlies.
Yeah we ignorant racist southerners would never vote for anyone that was not pure ivory white and baptist.

Even Bill Clinton couldn't carry the South in 1996 (he did pick up a handful of Southern states). If you tally up the electoral votes in the region, the only states that matter are Texas and Florida. And in all probability, both are also firmly in the Bush camp in 2004, so the South is a COMPLETE write-off regardless of the Democratic candidate.
Gore nearly won the electoral college by winning only about 30% of the 50 states (I'm guessing because I don't recall the exact number). He'd be sitting in the White House today if only he had picked up his home state TN or Clinton's home state AK.
In short, the Democrats have ZERO chance of winning the South, but there are more than plenty of electoral votes elsewhere.

Who was the last presidential candidate that was not white?Originally posted by: BaliBabyDoc

Let's see . . . who was the last presidential candidate to carry the South . . . that was not white and Baptist? Lieberman needs a token Protestant . . . preferably Protestant with Southern roots. Well at least one candidate will not be visiting BJU.
I think he will carry fewer votes than Gore did originally. Poor public presence for one. He's always struck me as a weasel.Originally posted by: BaliBabyDoc
Lieberman doesn't have a chance.
How come . . .?

I must admit I'm inclined to agree with the weasel personification . . . granted, I think Bush is little more than a rodent, as well.I think he will carry fewer votes than Gore did originally. Poor public presence for one. He's always struck me as a weasel.
