There are still traditional supermarkets that cater to your traditional business, it's a business model that is not going anywhere since everybody visits them at least once in a while. If I'm going to go to a supermarket I want them to have all the supermarket crap that I want. I can then go to a proper butchers, fishmongers, and maybe greengrocers.
I really, really don't want to go to more than one supermarket. That defeats the purpose of having a supermarket in the first place!
Other people prefer sacrificing the comfort of being able to buy everything they might need in a big supermarket every single time they shop in exchange of better deals, because they'll go to the big shop only once in a while to stock up on staples, then go to the smaller and more urban aldis to get fresh bread and whatever deal might provide a good moment to stock up on certain kinds of products.
Supermarket alone doesn't mean anything because local small supermarkets have limited choice and horrible prices just as well. Those disappeared with the big supermarkets but Aldi has come to occupy the space once occupied by these thanks to the fact that they can do lower prices and have a small surface.
don't knock sausages from other countries until you try them, and there must be a reason for british sausage not reaching the european continent anyway. On a much more important note.
British sausage >>>>>>>> any sort of wurst!
