Saw this up on the CryDev forums a little while back.

Looks like it might be pretty fun. It appears to be a first-person, Mage only RPG developed in CryEngine3 by a small indie developer in Georgia.

Here's a video of some gameplay. Doesn't look like it will be released until next year, though.

Looks cool, but I wonder how much of an RPG it is going to be. What I saw made it look like a FPS substituting the guns for magic.

Don't you know, these days if a game has more than 1 line of dialogue, it's an RPG with FPS elements.

For some reason I saw Indie and read Indian. I was hoping for some RPG based on India's culture. =(

Well, I don't know. This was a "combat" demo.

Their blog has a little more insight into the story.

So, I read their blog and nothing in it makes me think this is anything more then a fantasy FPS. The only RPG elements even mentioned is that there is loot. But Many FPS games have loot, be it ammo, health kits, or even new weapons.

Don't get me wrong. I want a fantasy FPS, it has been a long time since we had a good one. I just don't want to be told it is a RPG and then it be more Hexen then Skyrim.

So watched the video at home and am turned off. The 'combat demo' looked a lot like Skyrim mage play. I am also turned off by the holding up of hands. Who does that? I guess I am not a mage and have not yet met any so I might be basing this just off of 'normal' people, but nobody walks around with their hands up like that.

Nobody throws fireballs out of their hands either...

While that might possible be true, it would be must less taxing on your arm muscles to use them normal until you have to throw a fireball. Running would be more natural.

Same reason why people with guns who are in danger keep the gun up and ready to fire.
