I find it funny when libtards are all about the open borders but when something like this happens, they stfu. Just remember, if you ever debate with a libtard about refugees just ask them why they haven't opened their home to a refugee. Talk is cheap.

In any case, the core premise of this thread is nonsense and based on nothing. There are a host of references to gun control at the moment on salon and huff. I fully expect Democrats and liberals of all stripes will use this case as an illustration of the need for gun control (they certainly were doing so on CNN last night, after the identity of Farook was revealed), and Republicans will call for prayer and reject any law that would in any way restrict the rights of anyone - even suspected terrorists - to buy guns. The same old dance will continue unabated.

On the one hand, you're hypersensitive to personal slights (hence your desire to get "closure" with a high school teacher who hurt your feelings despite your being in your mid-40s). On the other, you're a consistently shrill partisan troll who thinks nothing of casting pointless partisan stones in the wake of a tragedy. I just find the dichotomy hard to process. In the meantime, I literally can't recall a single post of yours in this forum that was encouraging, thoughtful, or intended to inspire discussion. I'm not for banning guns, but, why do you think the left wants to get rid of them? It sure seems like they want to because they think it will make people safer. Do think its for another reason?

If you look at aura and sandy hook liberal sites beat the gun control drum for weeks, even months later.

When the shooters are middle eastern, those same liberals drop the gun control topic.

There's no indication I've seen that the shooters were refugees. The man was a US citizen, don't know about the woman.

Gun control arguments make more sense in the more common, and less publicized, day to day violence in USA. These mass shooting incidents are a very unusual beast and have to be looked at in a variety of ways. Mental health, community engagement, social stability, there are a whole lot of things that need to be looked at to figure out why people snap and choose to kill people in the name of ISIS, Jesus, or Charles Manson, etc.

Unfortunately, the tired "Don't talk about gun control right after an incident" is going to fail epicly because we can't even go a week or two without another incident. So if that's the case, then we are never going to talk about it. 🙁

Liberals need to be more realistic, and conservatives need to admit something has to change.
 
The shooters were NOT "Middle-Eastern", they were both born in the US.
They didn't come in over whatever border, let alone illegally.

So no "OMG REFUGEESSS!!111one" or whatever, what better argument FOR gun control could you want? A "devout" (extremist) Muslim could obtain guns legally in the US. Enough said.

Liberals are educated and talented enough to manage two or more concurrent thoughts at once:

Better Gun legislation is a necessity
As is better mental health services
Same goes for going after extreme gun-tootin crazies here in the US

Another thing that seems to have subsided is the whole "Let the Terrarists! buy guns so we can track them down!" line of senseless bullshit.

But, of course, they object to any sort of transactional records for private sellers at gun shows. Cuz Freedom.

He is just nitpicking at terms. "Battle rifles" are usually larger caliber i.e. 7.62×51mm NATO

An M-16 as you know is 5.56x45mm NATO is an "assault rifle".

We had a buy teaching is in a class that called our flak/etc "battle rattle"... With his accent at first it seemed cool, then got old.
