Do i call all of the liberals on this board "brianwashed" for disagreeing with me? no. is it hard to just understand that people disagree on issues? why do you have to resort to retorts such as "bible thumper" "neocon" and "brainwashed" when people dont agree with your stance on issues. you have to understand that not everyone thinks the same as you and to respect that.

Can you disprove they are Bible Thumpers???

Can you disprove they aren't Brainwashed???

When these so called "Republicans" just continue to spew Religious epitaphs with their Political views and sound like Tape Recorders (Brainwashed) for the so called "Conservative" Talk Show Hosts, that is not "dissagreement" or an "understanding" issue, that is the definition of the ruling club members of the Republican Empire I call the Neocon Nation.

Interesting, Neocons should be proud of this but instead are desperate to be separated from it, wonder why???
Can you disprove that you are a murderer dave?

    :cookie:
Figured you'd have no response. Us neocons like sugar cookies, not chocolate chip btw. So I'll drug this with brianwashing juice and toss it back at you.

Typical neocon knee jerk reaction.

kind of like your typical reaction is to just start calling everyone who disagrees with you a neocon?

Well, it does revolve around immaturity and ignorance of what the word means, but i'm not going to bash anyone who refers to me that way because that would certainly require some education for the majority of the people in these forums.

I say just ignore it and go on...

Exactly. It means different things to different folks.

I've seen some like being in the Neocon classification and enjoy it being a Neocon Nation while others act like it's the worse thing they've ever heard.

It's just my opinion of the Bush Regime and those that will follow off a Bridge.

It's not any different from what Hannity & Rush constantly saying about those that are Non Neocons being whacko Liberals.

But Bush is a Uniter alright, we sure sound "United".

Sticky?

I think not - it was a pretty good question, but the responses have been far from enlightening for the most part.

I understand Dave's frustration. His life was turned into a living hell. I'd probably be of a similar mindset as him if I had been in his shoes.

Not many folks on here have actually been caught inside the corrupt Political Machine this Country is churning now.

If only we were as smart as you Dave..

misuse of state resources is "being caught inside the corrupt political machine"? explain that one to me

Sit in Jail, lose 2 years of your life, lose $18,000, face 120 years prison time and it would need no explanation.
That happened because YOU did something wrong. Nobody forced YOU to do those things. YOU did them on your own! Now all you want to do is whine and have a pity party about it because your life is a mess because of something YOU did. Suck it up, take some personal responsibility for what YOU did, then get on with your life.

Either that or you can continue to whine and cry about things and be miserable for the rest of your life. If that is going to be the case just go back to listening to Operation Mindcrime and spare the rest of us your crying.

I never said I didn't do anything. The reaction was overblown and unwarranted.

I've gone on alright, in case you didn't notice I'm in New Orleans.

At least I am out of the Cesspit of Georgia's Politics.

There is a line at which you only have to accept the reasonable consequences of your actions - if you steal a loaf of bread, and I chop your hands off (at least in 'the West') you wouldn't be well-advised to simply conclude that you had it coming.

[/quote]I'm sure I could find plenty of folks in prison who say the exact same thing. The bottom line is that you did something illegal, you got caught and had to suffer the consequences. Sure it may not have been murder, but it was still illegal and carried a penalty that had to be paid.

Obviously a joke, and pretty funny I think. However, if it wasn't, you could easily go *bam* (or *wham* if you like those stupid car commercials, in which case I hate you) and point to the sticky and say: b|tch where's my money, you're banned, reference this, or something else equally witty. Then the person would be e-slapped like a ho and taught to never use one word to encompass an entire population thus saving the rest of the community from getting dumber from reading the posts here. The list could grow and evolve into something beautiful and helpful. Anways, that's my two cents. Anyone who disagrees is clearly a fascist, commie bastard.

Wow, nice tryMarcello. Predictably, this has devolved into a flame fest, with the predominant target being Dave. First of all, to all you manly men issuing your smug pronuncimentios on Mr. McCowen, I daresay each and every one of you would be squealing like a stuck pig if you had blundered into a similar situation. That's just a personal opinion, perhaps you're all highly disciplined stoics with a flawless personal history, I don't know. Undoubtedly, NONE of you bleat and moan here over issues which you consider unfair and which have never had the stark personal impact of jail time for YOU. Undoubtedly.

That said, Dave, you do bring much of this on yourself with your over the top posting style. Your own cherished views are subverted by your bombast.

HOWEVER, a cursory glance through this thread would lead an uniformed observer to conclude that Dave McCowen is the sole problem here. That, friends, is laughable.

Who namecalls more? Which side? Well, it is generally considered that P&N membership favors the "left", 70-30.

Here is our first quantitative REALITY CHECK:

Using the search function, the dread epithet NEOCON appears in 500+ current P&N posts.

Using the self-same function, the dread epithet LIBERAL appears in 1200+ current posts.

Each "right" poster lumps his oppostion into this one lazy, derisive epithet that the OP would wish banned more than 5 times as often as each "left' poster does so, by this admittedly crude measure.

Crude it may be, but 5 times more often?

The easily vilified Mr. McCowen aside, I, ummm, sense a trend.

You're not really very bright, are you Perknose? You do as much (or more?) pointless flaming and namecalling around here as anyone.

The word "liberal" is an adjective, and can be used as more than simply a label. It can be properly used to describe an idea or person. The word "neocon" has one use and one use only around here, as an insult.

So take your smug attitude and cram it with the rest of your long winded, egotistical garbage back down that worthless orifice from whence it came.

Touch a nerve, twerp? Feeling exposed?

Even accounting for this, the raw numbers inarguably describe a rhetorical imbalance. Don't think so?

Then back it up, bucky! Comb through them, filter out the false positives, and you will still have a 4 to 1 or more than 3 to 1 imbalance. But, hey, thanks for playing.

Exposed? By a scum sucker like you? Hardly. If you think I'm the enemy then you're more twisted than your feeble mind can admit. I'm fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I'm all for progress, while you're a wannabe progressive who's more interested in belittling others and taking potshots than working towards a better America. It's "liberals" like yourself that give liberals a bad name. At least McOwen can use insanity as a defense. You're just an ass, you pompous SOB.

AHAHAHAHA, Sparky, take a deep breath there from your paranoid and OBVIOUSLY DEFENSIVE rant. Where, oh where did I say or even imply that YOU are the enemy?

That's right, only in your own "feeling somehow guilty" yet tiny mind! Ask yourself why YOU are feeling attacked, mojumbo. You just exposed yourself, sport!

The self proclaimed Anti-Everythingspeaks: "I'm all for progress . . ".

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Again, thanks for playing!
