Every time many here have shown the Liberal bias in the mainstream news we have been accused of misrepresentation and bias, the only excuse for the blatent lies and bias in the mainstream media.

Now, a man who has NEVER voted Republican has a tell all book from the frontlines.

**World Exclusive**

In the first defection of its kind, a 28-year veteran of CBS NEWS has written a tell-all book which names names and exposes elite media bias and slanted coverage of events.

The DRUDGE REPORT has obtained the first copy of BIAS, A CBS INSIDER EXPOSES HOW THE MEDIA DISTORT THE NEWS -- an explosive new work by CBS NEWS veteran Bernard Goldberg.

The book set for release in January, presents an unprecedented blueprint of media bias as documented by an insider.

"Bernie Goldberg is a G-ddamn traitor," a CBS NEWS executive said late Friday. "The book is trash written by a bitter man who is now determined to settle a score."

Writing that he's never voted for a Republican for elected office, Goldberg exposes the bias he witnessed first hand during the nearly three decades he spent at the network.

Goldberg zeros in on CBS NEWS anchor Dan Rather and current CBS NEWS President Andrew Heyward, who is quoted as saying: "Look Bernie, of course there's a liberal bias in the news. All the networks tilt left."

MORE

The book's pending release has caused a desperate scramble among media players trying to learn its content.

WASHINGTON POST media critic Howard Kurtz is preparing a summary based on transcripts for Monday runs.

Expanding on a pair of op-ed columns penned for the WALL STREET JOURNAL, Goldberg goes 223 pages on his personal war story from the newsroom battlefront.

Anchorman Rather is described as being in a state of "fury" at Goldberg's pending tell-all.

I'll cheak this thread tomorow for the Liberal excuse mongers out there. :)

Its pretty funny... Drudge isnt biased, he bashes everyone equally...

The Drudge Report, gets its news from other places, most of the time they are correct(Jesse Jackson, Monica) sometimes its wrong, but most of the time its right. Besides, the book is real... So you cant exactly call is fake...

Gee a person with an axe to grind writes a "tell all" book.
Puhlease.
Independent researchers (those without an axe to grind) contradict your opinion. I am suprised you did not just post the story from that great nonbiased source NEWSMAXX.

ImTyping's theory is that the left of today is holier than thou, everyone is a liar except bill clinton, the constitution belongs in the trash, and an education is for those other fools.

ImTyping,

just for my amusement would you mind commenting on Tammy Bruce's recent book, "The New Thought Police."

She depicts your type as the problem with America. Is she a credible source?

Bush isn't redefining the meanings of words and using the constitution as a seat cushion to further his political agenda.

Since I do not know who she is and I have not read the book, I cannot comment. Since you do not know who I am you should not comment on me.

Flawed, you could not be more wrong. On every single sweeping generalization you just tried to make. I think Jesse Jackson and those like him are assholes. I think Al Gore was a bumbling fool when it comes to politics, but a far better man than the puppet that currently drools in his bed by 9:30 every night in the White House. I thought that Bill Clinton was a brilliant lunatic AND a liar. I hold the Constitution dear, and fear greatly how it is being subverted thru the actions of the current administration. I think the Republican party did a major disservice to the nation when they torpedoed Senator McCain's campaign. Hell I would have worked on McCain's campaign if he had won the nomination; he has more character in his pinky than either Bush or Gore.

Unlike you and those like you, I will not blindly defend those on the left or blindly attack those on the right. And education? Please don't let me go into a diatribe about how conservative politicians want to "reform" our education system by making it impossible for anyone but the rich to obtain proper schooling. I have two degrees, one in Chemistry and one in Science Journalism. The college system in our country is the best in the world; why else would the entire world come here to study?

Keep saying black is white and white is black...if that is what you need to do to get thru the day.

I'd be in a state of fury too if someone wrote lies about me in a book.

Let's see, what could his motivation be for writing this book...hmm...I don't know...could it be...MONEY???

I'm sure there are lots of people like Rupert Murdoch who would pay handsomely to publish a book like this.

Extremists on both sides of the fence speak as if they represent to majority when in truth they represernt just a few. They just seem like a larger group because they make more racket than most. The Ratbupliklans go around like they are outraged at every little thing a Liberal does and the Liberals are a dangerous "cause" looking to happen. Now one side isn't right and the other wrong, maybe both sides are completely wrong (and completely right about each other)

While I've had it about up to my ears with Liberals, the whiny Conservatives with their hypocritical outrage would do us all a favor if they became mute sparing us normal individuals from their self indulgent BS.

Perhaps it has never occured to you that our university institutions are a product of private administration.

What is the sole difference between our colleges/universities and our public educational system? The fact that our universities are run like businesses. They are required to meet certain expectations in order to compete for the best and the brightest. Failure is not an option.

In the public system failure is an option. I share a similar position with these conservatives you blast, in that I entirely support voucher oriented systems. I support the removal of one of our most cherished institutions out of the hands of governmental bureacracies and federally unioned employees.

A common theme often heard loud and clear in opposition to any sort of alternative education is this bs about it being for the rich. Please tell me which voucher policy that's ever been proposed or implemented in any state or county that is designed to benefit the rich? Do you know what vouchers are? Do you know what the conservative position is on education?

You clearly do not. Making this an issue of class warfare is a typical tactic from the left. Most of which are far more eloquent in their perversion of reality.

No, he and his team is just removing few things from it to suit their needs, like everyone is entitled to a fair trail.

Do you ever post anything but emotional rant? You are no better than those you denegrate. Hypocritical, to say the least.

I appreciated your poetical bow out of our discussion the minute it took a substantive turn regarding economic policy. You're an easy one.

OH really? And which portion of it would you care to reference which says that non U.S. citizens have a right to trial in our judicial system?

I think Hamilton or Jay had a few things to say regarding this....

Ok not the constitution, but international laws then. When someone commits a crime while a resident in another country than their home country it becomes a international matter. It is not as simple or easy as bush and co wants it to be, just send them to some militery base and convict them and even shoot them on the spot without anyone knowing.

and with that I bid this thread farewell becuse I´m to tired and to lazy to start looking for links all over the place as this descussion reqires.

Czar - I'm curious why you think that a trial by a military tribunal will not be fair? The military holds trials every day, it has its own legal system. You're also wrong about a non citizens commiting crimes in other countries. There is nothing international about it. As a matter of fact, international law has long recognized that each country is sovereign and can apply its laws within its borders. If you're from Iceland and rob a store in the US and get caught in the US, then you're tried by the US justice system and sent to a US jail if found guilty. The most Iceland could do is whine about it through diplomatic channels.

If you want to hear the left, you will have to look very hard. In the Bay Area, there are a tiny number of left programs, some on KPFA. What is being discussed here is center right media.

God bless you, Red, for giving eloquent voice to the mounting frustration I've been feeling about these threads. It's an age old aphorism: Nobody likes whiners.

but a far better man than the puppet that currently drools in his bed by 9:30 every night in the White House

What's amusing about comments like this is that the majority of the world's leaders now believes otherwise after what Bush has done in the wake of 9/11. Many of the politicians from the Democratic side in D.C. also agree with that assessment for the same reason.

No, he and his team is just removing few things from it to suit their needs, like everyone is entitled to a fair trail.

Ever heard of the War on Terrorism? Since you are from Iceland, I can grant you some leeway in your lack of understanding of the Constitution, but go ahead and read it -- there is a specific section which applies to justice in times of emergency. The current administration is following specific and legal Constitutional authority, notwithstanding the ignorance of those who overlook that portion.

Ok not the constitution, but international laws then.

Such as when a European country (or otherwise) won't extradite a confirmed criminal to the United States because a particular state has the death penalty and the DOMESTIC laws of that country forbid them from doing so? If someone is in this country, he/she is bound by its laws.
