Lian Li PC61 - Video Card is not fitting? :-/

Okay I built a system with these components:

Case: Lian Li PC61
Video Card: eVGA nVIDIA GeForce 6800 AGP Video Card
Mobo: Abit AN7

I installed the mobo on the removable motherboard tray and when I put the Video Card in the AGP slot it will not fit... The only way it will fit is if I take the plate off the video card but then it's too flimsy. I don't know why this is happening, perhaps the motherboard is too low? Any ideas from someone owning a Lian Li would be appreciated.

BTW: Tried booting without the plate on video card and it posts but there's minor colorful lines on the screen (probably from the card not being totally seated)

Thanks

Try this:

Take all cards out of the computer. Loosen the hold down screws on the mb. Install video card and tighten screw on same. Tighten mb hold down screws. Turn on computer and check to see if everything okay. If not then RMA video card as it has the incorrect metal bracket.

Hmm, No luck. My camera doesn't take detailed enough pictures to show the problem, sorry. How safe would it be running the PC without the dummy plate on the vid card?
