Hey guys... I'm building a new computer and I need to choose a case. The Lian-Li PC-V1000 really appeals to me... but I'm wondering, is that $200 price tag on it worth it?

I think all of the new Lian-Li V-series are great (especially the ones with front doors) and are well worth their prices IMHO. But again, that is just me.

I actually Own the PC-V1200. The main difference is it's a little longer, but as far as height and width, it's the same as the PC-V1000.
The case is truly exceptional in quality and does a great job when it comes to cooling (Though my system is water cooled as well...). I couldn't be happier. I've run many other cases before and this one is one of my fav's, if not my absolute favorite.
My one concern prior to purchase, was that it didn't have the removable motherboard tray like most Lian-Li, and that due to the motherboard placement it would be a tad awkward when installing it, but I was DEAD wrong. It's a VERY roomy case (Especially the PC-V1200 since its a tad longer) and it was VERY easy to work in.
I'll keep track of this post, so if you have any questions, feel free to post them or just PM me and I'll see what I can do for ya!

I dont really understand what csrx is saying. My mobo, and CPU temps have all dropped with this case. I think air flow through the case is excellent.

tuzzi, your temps have dropped from what to what? Which case did you own before the V1000?
I have an OCZ Powerstream 520, and I would find a way to mod the V1000 to make it fit too!

They make windowed side panels for the V series? Where did you see those at?
Tuzzi, how was your case with the stock fans... was it loud? Antec's PSUs should fit, right?
I have to decide on a case by the end of the day because I'll be ordering the rest of my computer then![]()

I have a V1100 here at work. The included ADDA 120mm fans are not noticeable in an office environment, but if you are going to use it in your bedroom and/or sensitive to noise, you can always swap with quieter fans.
As for power supply, just make sure to get PS2 sized units 150x86x140mm (WxHxD) and you'll be fine.
