Lian Li PC-K7B motherboard tray - threaded holes?

I've been building PCs for years, and I know that before installing a motherboard in the case you install standoffs in the case. The standoffs usually screw in, depending on the case.

Having gotten that out of the way, I received a Lian Li PC-K7B today and when I prepared to screw in the included standoffs I noticed that none of the holes on the motherboard tray are threaded. Ouch. An entire build halted because of what I believe is a manufacturing defect.

I'm not closed to the idea that I'm an idiot and that this is just how the case is. But I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to get the standoffs on the tray. They're just regular screw-in standoffs that came in the box.

So, if anyone has a PC-K7B, would you please tell me, were the holes in the motherboard tray threaded, and did you screw the standoffs in?

(The holes for the thumbscrews holding the tray to the case *are* threaded, to add to the mystery)

Mine were threaded. Make sure to use the included stand-off tool, just to be sure. If all else fails, just superglue them in (although, be aware you won't be able to remove them. Hot glue might work better, with the benefit of being removable.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Good to know that I'm not going crazy in my old age.

The problem with gluing them in is that the standoffs won't fit into the holes, period. The standoff threads are in the way. Also, the case did not come with a stand-off tool. Perhaps that particular one just completely failed QA and somehow made it through anyway.

I have a replacement from Newegg set to be delivered today. Hopefully I'll be able to continue with my build. Thanks again.

Just want to confirm that the new case I received did have threaded holes, and I was able to finish the build today. Newegg's automated system wants to charge me a $14 restocking fee, guess I'll be giving them a call tomorrow.
