LIAN LI PC-7FNW $ 79.99 shipped from Newegg

I've been looking to replace my 5 year old Antec P180 case. Not sure if it's worth it, but it is a hell of a deal.

Using a 6+yr old windowed Lian Li PC60 BPlus2 myself. LOVE Lian Li, they are quality. This one here seems like a nice case but I'm old school and still can't wrap my mind around a bottom mounted PSU configuration. Also, my case has 4 fans (front, side, top rear, and blowhole) and great airflow...not crazy about so many cases today with solely the 2 x 120 front-rear fan configuration.

great case at this price. The bottom mounted psu may require an extender for the board power but otherwise cable management since you can route behind the board is cool...

Just finished a build for my daughter using a PC-7FN (no window) two weeks ago. The case is fantastic and quiet. I paid around the same for it. I just ordered one of these for a future build.

This is a pretty smokin' deal. When I bought the one for my wife (PC-60FNW), these cases were going for $130-150 plus shipping. Here's some more info on them:

Yes, PSU at the bottom. Often your 4-pin or 8-pin CPU power connector won't reach from behind the motherboard and is unsightly going over the motherboard, so plan to buy an extension. SVC.com has them for really cheap.

Front fan is 140mm with a filter. It traps a lot of dust so make sure you clean it out regularly. There is an optional top panel with fan spots that is not included.

For those who have "classic" Lian Li cases from years ago, the aluminum will feel thin and cheap. Yes, aluminum is now thinner, but through the wonders of folded edges the chassis is rather robust.

Difference between the PC-60FN and PC-7FN is the front grill design.

There are suffixes for the part numbers PC-60FN and PC-7FN. W = window and X = black interior. Thus this case is the PC-7FNW so it has a window.

The front face is rounded, unlike older Lian Li designs (many of which are still in the market). Even as recent as yesterday, I cut my knee on the corner of my Lian Li case. This won't happen with the PC-7FN.

The case has EIGHT slots, meaning if you have a motherboard with a PCIe x16 slot in the bottom position, you can still use a dual slot graphics card in it.

The HDD mount on trays. The trays also have mounting holes for 2.5" drives, so no need for adapters when using SSDs.

Front panel is on the top (power/USB/etc.) making this a great case for sitting on the floor, but not so great if you sit your computer on your desk next to your monitor.

Mine reached. I had a Corsair VX550W power supply. Of course with no window on the 7FN it didn't matter all that much.

Putting together my first system. Trying to decide between this case, the Antec 300, and the Coolermaster CM690 II Advanced. This seems like a good deal, hopefully it will still be around when I decide.

The cases are quite different from each other. About the only thing the same is their basic layout (PSU on bottom, location of drive bays).

The 300 is a budget case.

The Lian Li is a classy case with some nice features such as 8 slots, trays that hold SSDs, fan filters.

The CM690 II Advanced has really nice features too, with special holder for two SSDs, somewhat of an 8th slot (sideways, for USB headers or something), a card support, spots for radiators. It is the most feature filled of the three. Heck, it has TWO eSATA ports, one of which can be used as a drive dock! Built in!

So there you have it.

If you want cheapest, then wait for an Antec 300 deal (common at $40, sometimes even less).

Get the Lian Li if you want:
Classy looking
Run three graphics cards and your motherboard has the third slot at the bottom
If you want to run more than two SSDs (or notebook HDDs)
Side window

Get the Cooler Master if you want:
Most features
Ability to internally mount dual radiators
Built in SATA drive dock
More fans than the Antec 300

Great deal for a nice case. Don't forget to get your cash back for this:

In for one. Need it for my future (second) multi-GPU cruncher. Then again, if Sparkle releases their single-slot GTS450 card, I might not have needed the 8 expansion slots.

Mine arrived an hour ago. Some ijit in the New Jersey warehouse sent me a PC-7FN instead. Pissed me off. Of course when I checked, they were sold out and have discontinued the PC-7FNW. They also no longer carry the separate Windowed side panel. W-LM2AB-1

So they gave me a $25 credit back on my account for my trouble and a free shirt.

I hope the rest of you get what you ordered.
