Lian Li PC-61 or Cooler Master Praetorian Case?

O wait they do nvm lol, anyways im thinking of the praetorian, it just catches my attention and its got a pretty good amount of fans in the case.Anyone else have any suggestions?

Coolerguys have the PC-7B Plus here is the link.

110 with a window or -8.00 without the window...Nice case...Really nice.

Way better than the Coolermaster you are considering...120m/m fans with provisions for a 80m/m blow hole...In my humble opinion of course.

Praetorian is loud, due to the all aluminum enclosure. I've got silent parts on the inside [Zalman flower cooler for CPU, flower cooler for GPU, Samsung Nidec drives], and it does nothing b/c of the four 80mm fans, and the inherent vibration quality of the metal. I'd think about it before you choose looks over function.

Anyone who says the Praetorian is inferior the Lian Li 60/70 series is either an idiot or hasn?t used both. I?ve used both and own a PC6070 (great case), the Praetorian is a great case much better looking then the boring 60 and 70 Lian Li series. It?s body is constructed from thick 2mm AL, the bezel could be 3-4 and its edges are beveled, very sweet looking.

Unless you insist 120mm fans I would take the Praetorian hands down.

I have a Praetorian. I hate it. It's hard to get to the everything. Also, it would be much better with 120 or 92mm fan holes, instead of an assload of 80mm ones.

Have you ever worked on a Lian Li next to a Coolermaster aluminum case?

The thing you have to consider is that the Praetorian is actually an ATC chassis that is just carried over by Coolermaster... and ATC made the best aluminum cases you could ever buy.

The Lian Li's build quality wasn't close to the Praetorian's even before they moved Lili's manuf. out of Japan, now it's just gone to hell.

I had to sell a PC61 because expansion cards wouldn't fit in the slots.. the backplane was set at the wrong angle. My previous one had bad problems with rattling, and poor cooling.

Aside from all that, the Praetorian has a far superior interior layout and the mainboard tray is implemented 10x better. You can't fit any cables behind the PC61's tray.

The PC61 is no different, in fact, the stock fans are much louder. The fans included with the Praetorian spin at a lower RPM.

How the hell is it hard to get to everything?

In the first place you don't have an aluminum plate covering the area behind the PSU and the 5 1/4" drive cage.

You can even flip the mainboard tray on the Praetorian to make it WTX.

So your saying that the Praetorian is a better case?

Praetorian vs. PC6x, the is the Praetorian better case. Built better, better material, better air flow, cleaner looks; better in every way.

I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about.
They are definately comparable as far as build quality goes.

And I don't know how people could say the Pratorian is hard to work with. It has one of the better removable trays I've used. For a mid tower it's about as good as you're going to get.

Time to get the Praetorian w00t!, thanks for your guys opinions and for telling the truth on which case is better 🙂
