Lian Li PC 07USB $99 at Outpost.com - no PS

Thanks conjur! I was just about to buy one of these anyway. It would have been $122 shipped from NewEgg, but with your deal I got it for $107 shipped.
 
This is a real good deal. The only difference between this and a lian-li pc-60 USB is that the pc-60 has adjustable fan speeds and thumb screws on the pci slots and slide out mobo.
 
This is a good case...easy to work with and it's incredibly light! The Antec 1030 is also a good case, so it just comes down to which you find to be more asthetically pleasing.
 
The Lian Li being aluminum is lighter and will dissapate heat better than the Antec's steel case.

I've got a Antec SX-830, case temps are in the low to mid 20's c. I'm happy but I'm also not very aggresively overclocked ... just yet~! 😀
 
Looks like a nice case, very pretty. Wonder how light it is? I saw one of these cases (PC-60) at the CompUSA store, and I accidentally broke it. The guy trying to sell it to me was telling me what a strong case it was, so I picked it up (without either side on it, and it bent all out of shape. I wasn't impressed at all.
 
uwannawhat, or anyone w/sx830: Does your case have a fan mount in the HDD cage? I just bought a sx830 w/pp303xp (is this a good PSU?)at Fry's for $70us and it has the HDD fan mount (5 case fans possible with the 2 rears already installed). When I was researching on the Antec website, it had an exploded view of the case that showed no HDD fan mount. The sx860 shows the mount. So, this case is the same as the sx860 w/o the Firewire or USB ports. I wish it had the TruePower PSU and the front ports, but at this price I'm not complaining. 😀
 
Yes meefmah mine came with a fan mount for the Hard Drive Cage, & two lower fan mounts below that.

The PP303XP is not too shabby, although I could use more power. I'm running a Dragon+ mobo. She burps a little on start~up but no problems so far in the 3 months I had it running.

This case is VERY well designed for a pressure airflow set~up. 🙂
 
i've compared these 2 cases. the PC7 case doesn't have a slide out mobo tray, the aluminum is a lot thinner and the quality isn't as good as the pc60. also no adjustable fans up front, removable psu, or thumbscrews everywhere. but for the price, it's very very good. you can get the pc60 for around $145 at allstarshop.com and if you're in so cali, you can even go pick it up and save shipping.
 
The PC7 is not a bad case for $99.

I haven't read anywhere that the thickness of the aluminum differs from the PC6x series review at pcpowerzone.co.uk

I have a PC65 (just like PC60, but with side plexiglass window)

DIFFERENCES
no fan speed adjustment (I haven't had to use mine)
no slideout motherboard tray (useful only if you swap motherboards ALOT)
no slideout powersupply (useful if you swap powersupplies ALOT)
PC7 has 9 thumbscrews, PC60 has 24 thumbscrews (just move your thumbscrews to where you use them most)
lower air intake grill appears different (I prefer the PC7 front to the PC60)


But actually, IMHO, I would just get a PC65 from PC65 @ mpcparts.com $140.


Another option, if you already have a PC7 or PC65.. or if you are short on cash this month, get the PC7 from outpost for $99..

..but later get the replacement side-window at mpcparts $30.

Aarg! My ears...a piece of plexi is $4 and car rear window molding is $2....the do-it-yourselfer is the way to go. Plus you can do whatever shape and placement you want.
