The deal on the mATX is insane, and I bet Newegg will pull that discount, because they currently have a separate $20 discount on it (which is also relatively insane).

I bought this case last year on sale for $69.99 shipped and it's very nice, clean look, decent layout.

How you gonna keep your stuff cool? Cooling options are very limited.

The rebate is kinda iffy tho as it states " Not combinable with any other offer " which makes me think it's gonna get rejected if you use the 30% off code also.

I may use 1 hd7970 and I may use a prolimatech samuel 17 cpu cooler.

I remember reading that the GELID Solutions Tranquillo was the biggest that would fit in the case. Never goes on sale tho at least at newegg.

Kinda scared to order one and see tho as according to Lian Li the tallest cooler is 140mm but the Gelid states 153mm.

Guess just about anything is better than the crappy stock Intel I like to make whiney sounds coolers 🙂

I found the link for anybody on the fence about keeping a cpu cool in the little Lian Li 🙂

The ATX HTPC case is tempting, but there are other solid options in that $150 range.

I've never once had a rebate denied due to promo code, the way it shows up on the invoice is as a separate line item at the bottom before/after subtotal that doesn't adjust the actual item price. It basically looks the same as a free shipping or free rush ordering adjustment.

The case is worth the cost even if the rebate is denied 🙂

Just saying it looks iffy doesn't mean it wont go thru....Just if they wanted to be anal it could be denied.
 
Wish it would go out of stock before I talk myself into buying another case I don't need.

Racks and cooling look good for build stuffed with drives.
 
Newegg has a NJ warehouse so I get stuck with taxes. But if it ships from the new jersey warehouse I get the case the next day. So the ups truck will drop it off in an hour or so.

I am not sure what I want to do with it.

I am going to do a build with the gigabyte sniper z87 matx board.

I built gigabyte sniper z77 matx boards for friends on the partsexpress.com forum. I used a fractal and an antec case.

I'm betting you could argue that one with Newegg, and get THEM to pay the rebate if it were denied, since they're currently also offering a $20 off promo code.
I know I got them to credit me the rebate amount, one time, when they advertised a rebate on a product, that (of course) required the UPC to be sent in.....then sent a brown box item, with no UPC! I called them up, they admitted their error (rebate should've been on the retail packaged item), and credited my credit card back the rebate amount right then, while I was on the phone with them. :thumbsup:

I buy so much stuff from them I am not worried about the rebate. And like you say they have it in writing for 20 off and a 30 dollar rebate. whic makes it 40 not 32.99 so I am sure if there is a problem they will honor that.

Actually, with the case under discussion, you can make their listed $20 off work on it or the 30% will work, but not both at the same time. Bought one, why I don't know--guess I love going broke saving money, and either code worked, and since the 30% off code worked, I used it, so it'll end up at the $32.99 price.
 
This thread got me all excited about getting one as a back up but ended up pulling the trigger on Lian Li's Black test bench. I've been needing one for 2 decades
