LHC up and running again

I just read online somewhere that although its running, it really isn't fully fixed. I guess there are hundreds or thousands of electrical connections that are faulty. The article said that they can operate the LHC but only up to 5 TEv not the 7 TEv max unless the connections are fixed.

the world ends in 3 years although accurately speaking it's been done for 1000. Way to go world, breaking time since 2009.

Been something of an LHC fanboy for a while. Can't wait till they start getting real science out of it. That will probably take a year or more though. They have to meticulously calibrate it for one. For another it will take months of data mining through petabytes of data to tease out some of the collision signatures they are looking for.
