LG sound systems?

I'm shopping for a home theatre system for my living room, and this caught my eye at the local shop.

LG Wireless speakers

What do you guys think? I figure that some people here must have like 7 systems at home.
Is there loss with wireless? As in will there be decrease in the quality of the sound?
Oh, and the system actually comes with stands, which aren't shown in the picture.

It's going for $999 in a country where a big mac costs $5 (or roughly 600 USD).

LG makes good LCDs/CRTs, optical drives, cell phones (arguably better than samsungs). other than they arent known for anything really even though they are a typical asian conglomerate producing just about anything imaginable.

Is that what it does?
I thought that the signal sent was digital and there's a decoder on the speaker end which retains as much fidelity as possible...

Least that's what the store salesman told me. "True digital sound playback" or something like that...
