G2 sells for $140
G3 for $250
G4 for $400

For about $100, I could upgrade to G3.
Is is worth selling my G2 for the upgrade?
What would you upgrade to?

My G2 seems to work perfectly fine, to be honest.
Are the differences really that big from G2 to G3 to G4 ?

Price varies depending on carrier.
Who's your carrier? I'd say if you're going to get something and the price difference isn't too much get the newest one.

I own both a G2 and G4. G4 has an amazing camera. And that's about the only thing really compelling about it over the G2. Form size of the G2 is night and day better. Battery life on the G2 is one of the best I have ever seen (and that's coming from a Droid Turbo). It's just one of the best compromises of size and function I've seen in a phone.

It is a bit laggier than my G4 though with the lollipop update. And it tends to app crash a bit more when doing chrome or google play music app. So there's definitely some drawbacks to the performance. But for everything else, it's a great phone. If you don't need the SD space of the G4 or a stellar camera, the G2 is a better daily carry. G4 is too damn big and the battery isn't near as good.

I would either go with the G2 or the G4. The G3 has a good camera, but they rushed it out with a high res display that the phone's internals are not quite ready for, so there's some lagging, plus the screen is not very good anyway.

I loved my G2, now I love my G4. I can't say there's a compelling reason to upgrade though. After updating to Lollipop, the G2 seemed to slow down, but if you stick with an older Android version it's still plenty fast.

I personally have found the battery life on the G4 to be better, and the camera on the G4 is amazing, but the G2 is still a solid phone.

G2 on 4.4.4 or whatever, good form factor, I think the camera good enough, battery is off the charts. I've found no positives to lollipop on any of my phones.

Yeah, G3 was pretty so-so. We jumped on it for my wife and she got tires of it's "quirks". She's much happier now with the S6.
