LG G Flex 2

From the outside it looks a lot better than the first one. The curve looks similar but it seems to be capable of bending a lot more. A57 is running at 2.0 GHz already, making me wonder how much higher it can go in the future. Screen looks too blue for some reason.

This phone is actually pretty interesting. Foldable/bendable/durable screens is certainly the future. I would have to think this phone would be nice for actual phone calls (fit the curve of your face) or being in your pocket (fit the curve of your thigh).

The previous model's 720p screen made it a no-go, but they made a lot of improvements. Maybe this one will be a hit.

That photo isn't the whole phone -- it's just the back.

With that said, the G Flex 2 is much more appealing... better size, much more powerful, sharper screen, more durable. I'd much rather have this over the G3, which I couldn't say for the G Flex versus the G2!

BTW - Self-healing back is nice but its impressiveness is certainly reduced knowing the back cover is easily replaceable. Isn't it?

Edit: They need to learn how to PR. A claim like "Self-healing in 10 seconds," which must be the best-case scenario, only backfires.

yeah once you get that it's hard to go back.

I have aftermarket N5 kernel improvements DT2W but inevitably causes problems for some reason. Tasker profiles to enable it while it's on the charger which would be good enough if I could keep it from randomly causing the Kernel to start wakelocking the phone.

the biggest problem I have with AMOLED screens is you can see the printer head lines in the display. Very ugly, I'm surprised no one has mentioned it in reviews before.

I think he means the "screen door" effect you get on many AMOLED screens due to the pixel layout (particularly on PenTile displays).

Both my SGS2 Epic 4G Touch, and the LG GFlex 1 that I played with, have this effect. It's very noticeable and not pretty, they come this way brand new day 1, it's not a burn-in effect

particularly noticeable on dark backgrounds such as the stock holo look, notification shade when pulled down, netflix viewing so on and so forth, but really it's noticable on any uniform color

I won't use another phone without it. Amazingly simple feature but adds so much value to a phone. I've tried it on another phone not designed for it and couldn't get it right either. If there is another phone with this feature on the kernel and rom working well let me know. Everyone I show it too is like WOW. Wish the G3 wasn't so damn large. I feel like you need Shaq hands to use it with one hand.

I think this phone would definitely fit the face better, but the Samsung Galaxy Round would fit the thigh much better.

That became a non issue in screens that are past 720p.

Was it a tech improvement thing or simply a by product of low ppi with AMOLEDs? The original flex was a 6" 720p screen - so pretty crummy ppi. I definitely don't see it on my S4, much less my Note 4.

Apparently they only gave this phone 2GB of RAM? Why'd they pair a Qualcomm 810 CPU with 2GB of RAM? Too bad, if it was 3GB+ it'd probably be my next phone.
