LG Flatron 795FT Plus Problem

HELP! I just purchased a new LG Flatron 795FT Plus recently and I am using Win 98 SE with Intel 815 Intergrated Graphic Controller.

There was a problem regarding screen display. No matter which resolution I switch to (from 640x480 to 1280x1024), I notice that there are some kind of 'wave' pattern appeared on the screen. The 'wave' was stayed on the same spot and was not flickering nor moving. I kept my speaker and CPU far from the monitor, used voltage regulator, but the problem still remain.

By the way, I found that the screen display is a little concave. Is it normal?

What's wrong with my monitor? Any solution?
Thanks and hope to hear from you ASAP.

The concave issue sounds like most typical Trinitron screens. However, the new flat screens have eliminated some of this - comparing my KDS AV195-TF to my Sony 420GS.

The wavy patterns that you described sound like a moire issue. There should be a control via your on-screen utilities to minimize or eliminate this issue.

It will appear concave - at first. It's an illusion, when you get used to it you won't notice it anymore. And the wavy things do seem like moire problems. Try adjusting the moire controls until you can eliminate most of them.

Thanks for the replies.

I adjust the 'moire' from minimum to maximum value, but nothing changed.

The 'wavy' problem is noticable when I used single color (eg. sea-blue of WinMe, green of Win98) as my desktop background.

It's probably due to the integrated i752......I've seen that it gives strange output at high resolutions, so try to use an external AGP card instead.
