LG Electronics Begins Mass Production Of 71-Inch Plasma TV

Only $75K? That's a steal (meaning I'd like to steal one).

I want my walls covered in those so I can design my own house to look like I'm in a jungle. Wouldn't it be cool to have a leopard alarm clock.

I was watching HD Net or Discovery HD a couple of weeks ago and it showed a new home that had the windows capable of displaying any scene (rain, sunrise, sunset, night scene, etc.) And, part of the window could be setup to be a TV display.

my old college used to have LCDs or Plasma TVs around campus, showing us stupid commercials. Damn them!!! I bet they'll get one of these too

American excess at it's best. Too bad plasma screens have a life time (half-life) of about 5 years.

lg is korean

But you know they are being built and marketed mainly to us 🙂

i'm not too sure about that. if anything, the koreans and japanese have way more electronic toys than the americans.

Now just imagine the walls looking like the windows. It will be so cool. Global warming won't matter. You can live on an iceburg. You can have a polar bear wake you up.

Why not have them both ways? 😉

That's nice. I wonder how many megawatts it consumes? 🙂

And, how do I feed all those freeloaders coming over to watch the Ironman World Championships, Le Tour de France, the Olympics, etc.? Sheezh, I'd be in the poorhouse inside two weeks. 🙂
