Hi
Thanks for the input. As always, it's good to get different opinions and these forums have been a very good source of information for me over the years.
It's always good to learn something, especially the news that "LG" is a rebranding of Goldstar. And, that other companies such as Viewsonic, etc. use LG parts in thier products.
Thanks

Hey ! All of you! LG is not all that great as far quality of it's CRT monitors is concerned. My friend had a lot of trouble with LG-700S. But their optical drives live longer than samsung and build quality is much better than liteon.

It's also right that in many asian countries LG and Samsumng are like Intel and AMD in the sense that the dealer asks you if you want LG or samsung, like in case of AMD/Intel.

I have a front loading washer and dryer made by LG. Totally computer controlled and the computer runs on Linux.

Cheers!

i'm never buying anything from lg except maybe someting that has an lg panel in it (FP2001). All their cell phones are lousy, as far as I'm concerned the only korean products that I want to buy are Samsung.

Problaby not a fair assesment, but once bitten twice shy

I used to have a samsung cell S105, i have a samsung LCD 191T, and I have a samsung DLP HDTV.

Samsung > LG

I have an LG RU52SZ30 52" rear projection LCD TV that I couldn't be happier with. Great picture in a great package. I highly recommend any of the LG TVs if you're looking at rear projection LCD or DLP TVs.

Hi
More opinions and thoughts coming out!!!
I'm not trying to keep the thread going. I'm more interested in what people really think.
I'm going to be building up to three, maybe four new computers for myself, and married kids and grandkids for Christmas. Cost is a major factor with that many pc's. That's why your thoughts and opinions are important to me. Like everyone else who reads the notes in the forums, we only have so many dollars to work with, thus trying to get the most quality I can for the buck.
Thanks
