I just picked up this deal from Vanns.com

LG Link

Great picture. Newer 2011 model. Very thin and relatively light too (for a plasma)
The glasses are normally ~$80 bucks each.

It has built in Apps (netflix and such) plus a media player. The media player supports NTFS and media files as large as 30GB. I have tested a 13gb stereoscopic rip from a NTFS HDD. It has an ethernet port but you can get wireless if you want.

Free ship and no tax in most states.

I just got the TV in last night and can answer questions.

I saw this tv at Fry's a couple months ago for $799 with 2 free glasses. They still have the deal time to time. Tv looked good but I had my heart set on a panasonic plasma. I don't want to be the dick that comes in and says "not hot" because even at $1049 it's a good deal but if you're patient and have a Fry's near they can be had much cheaper.

Costco has the non 3D version for $799 instore. Its a really nice looking but has a lot of glare though thats typically for Plasma.

How's the:

a) Input lag
b) IR
c) Visible dithering/grey noise
d) Heat output

Thanks!

a) I haven't ran a test just games like GT 5 and I haven't noticed any issues.
b) While it certainly exisits, it is no more noticable then other plasmas I have used.
c) No issues here so far but I have not looked for it yet
d) Very, very little heat output. I can honestly say that this puts out less heat that then 42" LCD that it replaced.

Yeah, I am able to contol the light/glare in my living room. The TV faces a wall and the blinds cover the window to the left.

This is just something you need to access before buying a plasma (which sounds like you already know 😉 )
