Its in bold...

I corrected my mistake before you even posted. Now if you had only the common sense to admit you were wrong, we wouldn't have even needed to go this far.

But to sum it up.

The Lexus IS is not an Avalon
The Touareg does not have the same body panels as a Cayenne
A Civic is not a TSX, nor do they share chassis/platforms
An Audi A4 does not share a platform with a Jetta

Anything else I'm missing here?

Okay IS maybe not the same but from where I work they had the cars right there for all the world to see... Maybe not the same body but but same chassis...

Touareg I wasnt very specific on what they had in common but I was thinking more in line of the chassis as well, because they are not from the same company like lexus and toyota...

Civic and the TSX gotta fight you on this one cause I got a TSX and the guy told me about it so I gotta stick up for this one...

and the A4 I tought I admitted to this one that it was not the Jetta that it was the Passat that they share the same chassis....

Instead of arguing nonsense why don't you just go to google and look for yourself?
The Avalon and IS are not based on the same chassis!!!
The TSX is just an Euro accord (different interior though). NOT A CIVIC. Just go to any European or Australian Honda website and look for the accord.

Back on topic....
I just hope the IS250 is priced along the lines of the TSX. Perhaps I can afford that nex year 🙂

Ummm Im 27 with a whole lotta of money....

Dude just STFU before you make yourself look worse
IS300 does not have/share the same Chassis as the Avalon.
You obviously should turn in your man card immediately cuz you know squat about cars.

It's not an insult to call him a Lifer. Him being a Lifer just means you're his bitch.

And so dies the great legacy of the Supra inline-6. Another inline 6 is erased from the world. Discounting Volvo's bastard transverse i6 (& the trailblazer), this leaves only the premiere world car maker to carry on the proud tradition of the straight 6. I'm sure they'll do it justice, with the i6 having a home for years to come in the Ultimate Driving Machine.

*salutes the i6*

if this car is good, maybe ill get one in 3 years if i get tired of my infiniti. lexus seems to keep their cars around for 7 years unlike , acura / infiniti at only 5 which is kinda nice, you are current longer.

Accord Euro-R

Acura TSX

Resemblence?

Connection

Taken from the above website: "The TSX certainly has a great start on its way to a true sport sedan as it is based on the European-market Honda Accord, a car that is much different in form and function than the American Accord."

Like all the others I've mentioned. So you telling me an a jetta is not an A4, or or the civic 4 door is not the Acura TSX, or or the Nissan Armada is not the Inifiti QX...

Actually - the word you're looking for is "fascia".

As stated above, a banana peel has more knowledge on this subject than you do.

Fascia! Fascia!

I don't know how you figured it out, but here's a  for deciphering TheMessiah's incoherent rambling.

Why no IS350 w/AWD?

That sucks.

don't care about AWD but no manual transmission makes me cry

I want it all. IS350 w/AWD and manual. My RWD BMW is parked in my driveway today even though I need it because of this damn noreaster headed our way. I definitely need the AWD here.

I think AWD is a great thing to have in inclement weather (snow, ice, rain, sleet, etc.), but I would argue that a RWD car is a great deal more fun to drive in dry conditions. As an A4 owner, I would say that the steering is almost neutral, with a bit of understeer sometimes. But a RWD car...oversteer is just too much fun 😀

EDIT: I should clarify that I still think that AWD will get you around a track faster than RWD (faster launches, etc), but it does it with such little fanfare. A lot of people in the A4 groups I frequent and have driven other RWD cars (Porsches, BMWs, etc) have the same feeling. It's almost boring to drive an AWD car. I'm talking purely about fun factor.

Looks like I will have to take a long hard look at the new A4 when it comes out next month. At least you can get it in AWD w/manual.

There is definitely something to be said for a manual gearbox
