yeah, i just read an article about it not too long ago. basically the usb devices will be bootable, i didnt get the impression that you had to have a special usb port. pretty cool, i think its time to pick up one of these
 
compusa rebate you show is for a 256mb trio.. not the jumpdrive pro

i would say use the 1st one..

just a word of caution. i bought a lexar usb jumpdrive 128mb from circuit city a while back. there was a $10 rebate from lexarmedia for circuit city, but there was also a generic lexar $20 rebate for it downloadable from amazon.com. the generic rebate looked exactly like the 256mb one from buy.com, except it was for the 128mb of course. anyway, i ended up getting the $10 rebate already, and the $20 rebate is still nowhere to be seen. so don't be too surprised if you end up not getting the rebate.

maybe pricematching with staples if they have it?
 
Dammit! I just went to CompUSA today tp buy a router...wish I had seen this thread a day earlier...oh well, guess I can go tomorrow.
 
Just came back from CC and I did a no Hassle pricematch. Thanks a lot littlezipp!!!!
The funny thing is when I went to the store they had a rebate listed but it dued 8/30.

Get the 256mb one. I originally had a 128mb drive and it wasn't big enough. Get the 64mb only if it is the only one you can afford.

What store did you pricematch it to? And how much was the difference?
 
I was about to jump on this and the priceon compusa.com has increased to 109.99. That is the original price, whyy would it all of a sudden on a tuesday jump to that price. Any one know if this is a mistake, do the local stores still have the 49.99 price?
 
Not sure of any quality or size diff between the sancruzer 256 (sku 306019) which was supposed
to be the 49$ one (no rebate req.), and the substitution 300382 (lexar 256 jumpdrive pro) which is showing
109$ on the compusa website now (it was showing 49$).. but compusa still is selling it for 49$.

The lexar 256 is being sold we below retail , so 49$ is a good deal rebate or not.

I called the lexar rebate # on the form, and they said this rebate form wouldnt be valid if it was
buy.com specific, but i read the terms and address for lexar to her, and she didnt seem
to think it was buy.com's rebate (IT looks just like the one on the buy.com website tho)

I am going to send it in anyway, what the heck, even without 15$ off all i waste was a stamp.

I bought one just now and no rebate was printed by the cashier ? I guess I'll have to print one from the Lexar then.
 
no rebates avail from compusa.. and the 15$ one is pulled from buy.com and

where's this coupon coming from? also, mine shipped too. the rebate is also available from amazon.com and outpost.com i think. and officemax also has this same one on sale for $49.99 this weekend too. at least i think it's the same one.
