Well that's an opinion on the "better" part

no, it's better.

5 year warranty, thinner, faster.

better.

Well it is a good price for the Lexar. OP didn't say BEST JumpDrive for $59.99, he had the brand in the title. I have a Lexar Jumpdrive and even though I have't tried any others, I like it.

My JumpDrive Secure 128MB USB 1.1 has survived pretty darn well thus far, the cap hasn't gotten lost or anything. However, there is a small drawback to the Lexar's form-factor, it's kind of "fat", and won't fit into some OEM-branded PCs with smaller cases that don't have additional clearance around their back USB ports. Hopefully the PC you use them with will have front-mounted USB ports that aren't recessed.

But the price for a 1GB model is quite good. (I wish DDR RAM was that cheap!)

I have a Lexar Jumpdrive 2.0 Pro and it has failed after 6 months of use. I lost the files I had on the Jumpdrive and the next problem is Lexar support. After e-mailing Lexar about my issue, Lexar support sent me an e-mail back 3 days later saying that they were forwarding my problem to the RMA department. Ten days later I have still not heard from them so I e-mailed them again about my drive and have not recieved a reply from Lexar. It has been 3 weeks since I e-mailed Lexar and all I have to say is Lexar product support sucks. Lexar has handled my warranty issue horrible and I will never buy another product!

I do not know if Sandisk flash drives are any better but I can not see how their product support could be any worse an Lexar IMHO.

I had the same problems with my Lexar drives. My USB 2.0 Pro was in my coat pocket during a rain storm and collected condensation, then wouldn?t work, and my wife?s 128Mb jump drive would just not be recognized by any computer. I believed I called Lexar and got an RMA. Didn't take very long to get a replacement and they even recovered the files from the old one. I made a point to tell them that I had important files on the memory stick.

I had a Lexar 128MB Sport model (red with the rubber casing). During Hurrican Francis, I had moved my car into the backyard, and I'd lost the drive with my keys. I couldn't find them or move the car for a month. I eventually found them both in the grass near my car, after a hurricane and numerous rain storms. The drive was caked in mud and leaves. I brushed them off, and rinsed the outer casing. Popped it into my lappy and it had all my files intact. I reformatted and the drive still works. I haven't had any probs with Lexar drives, although I do expect this thing to go on me in the next few years. I just don't trust flash memory. PEACE.

My coworkers and I recieved Lexar drives, and within 6 months 2 had failed, including mine. Curious about why this happened, I cracked mine open to find one of two leads going to a capacitor had broken. Because of the location of break, it wasn't repairable. The cap was strangely large for such a simple device, and also explains why the lexars are on the big side. With a bit of tricky wire work, I connected the capacitor long enough to get my data off of it. For that reason, I'm staying away from large usb drives.

Also you can just go to CompUSA and buy TurboTax Deluxe for $39 and the CompUSA 1Gig USB 2.0 for $29 and AR you pay $29.

So It's $29AR. Pretty good and you get TT too
