Actual costs involved: actual cost is $44.99 (not $44.00 as mentioned above, and yeah some people here will whimper over $0.99), so it's really ($44.99 + s/h + tax) - $10 MIR.

Supposed to offer some sort of AES128 encryption, but it requires using their special software to mount the drive. I have a 128MB model, but I've never used their "secure" software. There was some big deal on Slashdot about it being trivially bypassable, so perhaps its just as well. Don't know if they've "fixed" that issue yet or not.

Regardless, that's a decent price on a 512MB flash drive!

i had this usb drive, it's junk. i returned it and got a PNY drive. look around on the internet. you'll see the Lexar drives aren't very good, which is probably why they always have good deals on these.

not trying to threadcrap, just trying to inform.
