just what does the retail package look like? cuz i don't think i've ever gotten a retail package, and all of my OEM packages say 5 year warranty (I have 6 of them, bought from Amazon and buy.com)

If anybody wants, I'll try to scan what mine looks like when I get my hands on a scanner.

Hmm, that's weird. I'm not sure what a teeny blister pack looks like but I got mine in a small transparent plastic thingy with a white sticker covering almost the entire back side and the sticker on mine says 5 Year Limited Warranty.

WTF is up with this crap??? They sent it to me in some little teeny blister pack with a sticker and UPC on the back that says 90-day limited warranty. I'm sending this sh!t back. This definitely isn't retail packaging nor does it come with a 5-year warranty. It says 90 day LIMITED warranty.

And they want me to pay $9.95 to talk to them over the phone. HELL NO!:|

Well mine came in a blister pack with a 90 day warranty. My UPC is 650590 103324. Does anyone have anything different? I'm worried about the rebates. I must be on their "sucker" list. This is the third time in about 6 months Buy.com has pulled some crap on me. From now on, this junk goes back at their expense.

PS, on the back of the card is printed 128101BV0903 Made in Singapore. Anyone different?

Just a heads up, Dell has 128MB SanDisk sticks for $45.86 out the door, $20 (Dell-specific) rebate available.. That price includes the current 15% off memory products promotion, which ends today, i think.

Dell Part # 348402

I believe that this link will take you there.

So cheap...

These must be getting phased out because of the new higher-speed sticks required for video/audio for digital cameras.

I don't think these are backwards compatible with current devices so I don't think the 128mb sticks are being phased out (or at least better not be!)

They aren't being phased out and some products won't work with the PRO versions. Some will. I have to check to see if my Sony DV can use them or not. I definitely have no use for 256 MB stick for my camera.

cool both of my rebates confirmed too. 😀

Your rebate is valid and is in the final stages of processing and should be mailed to you within the next 30 days.

Yeah Buy.com is an authorised dealer. I checked it from their website. But the problem is buy.com std free shipping takes like 3 weeks to deliver. So I ordered from gateway. But that also is taking the same amount of time. weird!!!!!
I'm sceptical about both rebates being honoured. But $30 for 128Mb memory stick is not bad. But note that these stick are like 1/3 speed compared to sony or others. These are rated for 450kb/s and others are like 1.5Mb/s.

Just my 2 cents!!

Lexar makes the Sony sticks and owns the patents. Sony licenses the technology from Lexar.

That doesn't make much sense....since Lexar just started selling Lexar branded MS's some time ago......prior to that, only Sony branded MS's existed...😕

I don't know where you got your information but that is wrong. I have lexar MS media that is many many years old. It could have come out after Sony's, but that is hardly odd, maybe it was part of the contract that Sony had exclusive rights for XXX amount of time.
