Lexan or Plexiglass window?

What has better sound insulation? I have access to both types including tinted glass and stained glass. I'm designing a see thru window that needs to be sound proof. It will be mounted to an MDF wooden frame and not to sheet metal so thickness isn't a problem.

If I use lexan I can use some polycarbonate window tinting I have laying around. Don't know if it will work well on plexyglass since I've only worked with lexan.

i work with both lexan and plexi and both scratch way to easy. if you can get temperd safety glass go for it.

How about acrylic? I was thinking of using it for my window since i read that it was the most scratch resistant. How is it sound proof wise and is it any harder to work with?

go with lexan.. in the long run it will be easier to maintain, and with the proper cleaners, you will find that the static problems will be much less. i have a clear case and use a home depot product called "plexus". an occassional cleaning gets rid of my smoke stains (sic), and more importantly....reduces the dust attraction....GOD LOVES CLEAR CASES...see you in church....hehe
