I have a pair of pants i have owned for roughly 10 years (i will have to retire them this year..=( they are really comfortable ). I have washed and dried them after wearing them.

why wouldn't you?

Wash and dry after every wear?

Wow.

I mean, I don't soil myself or get dirty, so I've never felt my jeans ever needed to be washed that frequently. Even growing up, I still felt I should have at least a handful of wears before they were washed, unless winter salt really got to them at the hems.

I just went by smell, and still do. Smells clean? Then they are clean. Smell like crotch and/or ass? Time to wash. Have stains, spills, or grime from whatever? Time to wash.

about the only time i wear jeans is if i go outside. I don't like wearing them inside.

most times if i'm outside (and staying home) i am working around the property and they do get dirty fast.

jeans last for years anyway. they aren't going to get ruined by a wash (unless you fuck it up)

I usually hang dry my jeans, but I still wash them because it's convenient to. And Levis aren't really that expensive, I can afford to replace them every 5 years or so.

Why would jeans be magically different than any other piece of clothing?
Things get dirty/smelly and you have to wash them.

i don't machine dry mine. for washing, used to use the gentle cycle and woolite. now it's the bathtub and a soaking.

Of course the CEO of a major company would say that; washing clothes is for the poors. Rich people simply discard the offending item and purchase a replacement. If I have 16,000 pairs of jeans in my walk-in closet/zeppelin hangar, why would I ever need to wash my pants?

Well, except Vinigar really is one of the best cleaning agents out there, I put a 1/2 cup in my washing machine every load. I've never washed a pair of my jeans I currently own and never once had a person comment on how I smell.

My grandma does this also.. everything turns out smelling like vinegar.. good luck getting laid with that smell.
