Certainly WTP are going to do something about this. Might I suggest:

"Corporate Run Election Panels!"
"Corporatization!"
"Corporatized Politicare!"

And now they just voted to get rid of public financed elections. Basically they are saying "if you aren't one of us you will not compete, we will make sure of it."

from wiki...

"Fascists seek to organize a country according to a particular nationalist strand of corporatist values and perspectives, with an emphasis on enforcing a collectivist form of political and economic organisation based on a tightly prescribed national identity."

Color me shocked. And people wonder why politicians do what Corps want before citizens.

The sad thing is the Constitution never intended for these politicians to pick winners and losers in the marketplace.

Thank you FDR.

Nice Strawman!

One thing's for sure- the framers of the constitution never intended for corporations to pick the winners in the realm of politics, bet on that.

But you don't mind that one bit, I'm sure.

Seems like this has been happening since the start of politics.

Now it is official that corporations are representives of the people behind it and deserve a voice.

Similar to a union

Indeed. Thomas Jefferson wrote “Governments are instituted among men, and derive their just powers from the consent of the governed”.

And if there are international holders of those corporations? You are ok with foreign sources influencing the democracy?

Is there a teaparty boogieman under your bed?

These majority of these dollars went to the Democrat and Republican parties. So what does the tea party movement have to do with this again?

Corporations are an assembly of people. Same as a Union or any other group of organized people (hello AARP,Sierra Club, NRA, etc.)...

If you were a German as Nazis rose speaking out against them, you would have fellow citizens arguing against you, in favor of Nazis.

If you were a Russian under the USSR arguing against them, you would have fellow citizens arguing against you, in favor of the Soviet system.

If you were an American in the South in 1850 speaking out against slavery, you would have fellow southerners arguing against you, in favor of slavery.

If you were an American in 1775 arguing for independence, you would have fellow colonists arguing against you in favor of the monarchy.

Today, some argue to protect democracy against the threat of a corporatocracy, and we have fellow Americans arguing against us, in favor of plutocracy.

There has sadly never been a shortage of foolish people who will fight for what's bad for society, to fight for the forces of tyranny.

The power of the propaganda and media machine for the powerful, is strong.
