Uncomfortable laughter as if they weren't sure whether there was a punchline coming or not. By the end they realized that there was no punchline to be had.

All I could think the whole time was WTF kind of reaction is this to what he's talking about?

"I was blackmailed" LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!

"I did sleep with women from the crew" LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!! Clap clap clap clap!!!

Um..... WTF kind of reaction is that?
 
He should have just hired a hooker every now and then... now he will have to pay out the wazoo for sex discrimination lawsuits. If I were a male staffer I would sue because letterman did not want to sleep with me. I mean I am not that ugly.
 
damn, I guess mentally he loves her having been in a relationship since since 1986, but physically, his body just cries out sometimes (just like Bill Clinton)
 
Probably he's not the only celeb to have skeletons like that in his closet.

I can't judge him for what he has done, I can only respect him for being forthright about what happened.

But then again, he's not one of the hypocrites who gets up and screams about "Family Values," and plays Mr. Pious like so many that he ridicules when they get caught with their dick in someone who's not their wife.


IMO, he handled this very well. By trying to protect the women and not letting them get publicly dragged through the mud, he's shown that while he's a horny old goat, he's a classy horny old goat.
