Have never seen the shorts. The first season was funny but a very particular type of comedy. Americans won't like it I think.

Ok, I've been watching this and find it damned funny. IMO, although it's very "Canadian", it's really more about small rural towns. Having grown up in one and visited frequently since high school, a lot of it is hilariously accurate. Those kids from the high school cliques who stick around town and who never change, well into their 30s - the jocks, the greasers, the skids, the christians, the farm boys. The local bar where many of them collide.

Love the characters, but what's really great is the dialog. Some of it goes over the top and misses badly, but most of of it is side-splitting funny.

The second season will be out on Christmas day.

Season 2 is out now too. We watched it, really liked it again.
 
I watch a little bit of it.
Made me chuckle

Felt I had to explain why I chuckled when watching it with wife or sisters in the room.
 
There are ways..google is your friend and don't require torrents. We've been watching it, it is a bit like old Kevin Smith stuff in terms of character interactions.
