Funny.
Interesting way to do the videos.

And yes, WTF. If an elephant walked up to me right now, and started chatting about the weather, I'd just roll with it.

I don't dig the music at all, but I like the visual spectacle of the videos.

Mixing porn and music can be less than ideal, or just dandy, DA adds freaky which can go either way as well.

I have no appreciation for the sexy choreographed dance either, makes me think yuck Mylie.

Die Antwoord is also one of those things that's way too overhyped by internet.

The music is garbage (and I like rap) and the shock factor grows tired fast. After that, you're just left with a tryhard circus show.

Yeah, I liked their videos a year or so ago and was following them with interest on the net but now I think they are basically t-shirt salesman. I never could listen to their music but found their videos interesting, especially their interviews but they don't really do that anymore.

They both also star in the newest Neill Blomkamp film, don't think it's out yet.

This looks like something someone would show to mock a band like Die Andwoord. I keep seeing someone like Ben Stiller dressed like this, acting all goofy and trippy.

Die Antwoord - Ugly Boy

It's a bit different than their earlier stuff

Stumbled across Ugly Boy and came here to see if it was added to thread. AnandTech OT didn't disappoint.

Can you spot all the cameos?
http://pitchfork.com/news/57312-die...flea-cara-delevingne-more-for-ugly-boy-video/
"Directed by Ninja and produced by Yo-Landi Vi$$er, it features the duo doing their usual thing of rapping and singing while looking real, real weird. Only this time, they enlisted a bunch of famous friends to do the same. Jack Black, Marilyn Manson, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, the ATL Twins, Dita Von Teese, and model Cara Delevingne all show up wearing makeup and/or scar tissue to mug with Ninja and Yo-Landi. (Except for Manson and Von Teese, who basically came as is.)"

Agreed. I like the concept better than most rap I hear but in the end it's all shock and gimmick and wears thin fast. And the music itself sucks.

Loled at many of them. Was quite entertained, although I'll probably not watch/listen to them again.
