and I'm predicting career victory #1000 for Adelman tonight as the Wolves take on the Raptors in a battle for the 9th/10th lotto spot.

wow Kobe probable torn achilles.. he looked like he was crying since he left the game.
I don't think D'antoni gets all the blame.. obviously Kobe is going to stay in during the crucial moments of the game but he could've managed his minutes better. Kobe was playing 47, 48 mins a game for the past two weeks. Hope he doesn't retire from this injury.

The team is nothing without Kobe. Kobe is the only reason why they were fighting for the 8th seed since none of the other three All Stars were doing anything about it on a consistent basis all season.

The NBA is less of a league without Kobe. I really am doubtful he comes back to anywhere near his former self. He's out at least a year and he's 34 already. If he had this injury 4/5 years ago it'd be a different story.

I think you guys are forgetting about Rose's return. That will have a bigger impact on NBA than Kobe has had past few years.

Injury isn't good though (even though I'm not a fan of Lakers)

Idk. Kobe got a fire. After game interview he was already pissed at people saying he won't be able to return and is out to prove them wrong.

Without the injury I would have predicted a drop off just due to him being that much older. Add in a year off and an Achilles blowout. Honestly I'd rather see him walk away and remember him carrying the Lakers to the playoffs singlehandedly playing 45 min a game at 34 years old. Btw I'm a huge Kobe fan.

Rose's return? Rose still has to prove he's worth his weight before comparing him to a legend like Kobe Bryant. Not taking anything away from Derrick Rose, he's a great player but we are talking about Kobe Bryant here who's easily one of the Top 10 greatest NBA players of all time.

People were predicting Kobe to drop off based on how he played last year but he was way more banged up than this year. I think Kobe will be ok once he comes back. Prob play till his 40.

First I'm hearing about the Kobe injury (I usually watch some Sportscenter in the morning but the fiancee was watching the cooking shows). It's basically the only way this season could have ended for the Lakers, as bad as that sounds. Unless they pull a miracle out of their hat and make a deep playoff run, this is probably the most disappointing Lakers season in history, and it really isn't even close. Losing your franchise player for a year? Talk about the icing on your shit cake.

Gotta wonder if Kobe would have had an injury like this if D'Antoni weren't running him ragged. There's no way for tissue to recover as well at his age as when playing reasonable minutes. One will never know.
