Let's talk dress shoes.

For those who wear them frequently, or in my case daily, what are you rocking? Personally, I'm partial to Allen Edmonds. I've had damn good luck picking up gently used pairs off of eBay for a fraction of retail

dress shoes always smell all the be damned. and you bought a used pair? you gonna get foot disease if you not careful

Allen Edmonds - I wear a EEE so my options are limited, they fit well and are super comfy once broken in. I just bought the Long Branch in December during their winter sale.

I would not wear used AE's - the cork footbed shapes/molds to the wearers foot. If you plan on having them recrafted that makes sense, but wearing someone eleses molded shoe, oh hell no!

I do know you can find once worn and returned shoes from time to time as well. Wish I lived closer to a AE outlet store.

I've worn holes through my soles and the leather still looks brand new. Never wear the same pair 2-days in a row, always use shoe trees, polish and condition the leather routinely and they will last forever.

only Allen Edmonds for me. Have worn many different brands, and only the Edmonds get me through a full day completely comfortable.

hum, first time hearing Allen Edmond, good to know.
I buy whatever on sale at the local Kenneth Cole outlet. They aren't uber comfortable but they look nice and can be priced decently when on sale.

You can buy new pairs off StyleForum for a discount, but you'll wait 4-6 weeks.

Just thought I'd add - the latest pair of AE Strands I purchased from eBay were $80. Going to throw some new soles/heels on them, and they'll be like brand new.

I won't be using it yet, but AE has fantastic refinishing services for their shoes. Postage is free to and from their facility, and depending on the service you select, they return to you looking like a new pair of shoes.

A lot of high end shoes can be refurbished to pretty much brand new.

These aren't your typical worn out pair of pumas.

I haven't bought used shoes, but I know guys that make double or more than I do (~$250k+) that will buy these and even suits off eBay.

I don't like their fit, they are very popular.

I have a pair of Johnson & Murphys in cordovan and black for my suits and my daily wear are Clark Wave.Hybrids. Supposedly the Clark Un. line up is more comfortable, but I didn't like them in the store.

Used suits are a hot, yet unknown item on eBay. You can get $1800 designer suits for $180 if you know what you're looking for.

42XL is a bit hard to find.

I live 5 minutes away from Palm Beach, they have consignment stores with deals like this. Some of the suits were never even worn.

There are a lot of folks that fly in for their vacations. Have their mansions stocked with all new furniture, fixtures, clothing, sometimes even new vehicles and when they leave it all goes out.

Sadly some even do this with pets.

I have a couple pair of Johnston & Murphy slip-ons and lace-ups and wear them to work every day. They're comfortable and fit well.
